Rafe gave an explanation this week for his absences and "lackluster" WoT Wednesdays:

Despite that, we did get some big news this week thanks to fans being on the ball.

First bit was that a Casting Director has been appointed. Kelly Valentine Hendry and her team from KV Casting got the gig. Kelly is based in London and has credits for The Last Kingdom, Extinction, Fleabag, Broadchurch and Harlots to name a few. You can view her full IMDb profile >>HERE<<.

The second bit of news came from Brandon Sanderson at FanX. r/WoT user JofWu posted an audio clip and recap(below) of BS talking about the show:

Narg would advise taking the "release sometime next year" part, as a goal, not a certainty. Unless Amazon contractually need to release it next year, then the actual release date would still be in flux INO. Narg is sure they have a timeline, but there are still a lot of variables that could cause delays.

Having said that, the second half of 2020 is achievable based on past timelines for similar shows. Netflix still have The Witcher down for a last quarter 2019 release and filming for that began on the 31 of October 2018. Game of Thrones took around 9 months on average from start of filming to release, for the first 6 seasons, and The Boys from Amazon took 14 months. Alternatively Carnival Row from Amazon began filming on October 2017, and still doesn't have a release date from Amazon.

While it's heartening to hear Brandon say 2020, just don't take it as gospel until Amazon actually set a release date.

We do however know for sure that work is underway in Prague. Following up from last weeks news that Prosthetic work was happening, a few crew ID's have appeared...

You can see a close up flyby with music on his twitter account. No word yet on when it will be available to buy.

While you can't buy the map yet, Ta'veren Tees does have key rings ready to buy...
