New News: Not a peep since JordanCon back in April at which we learnt the following:
Sony Pictures Television has signed a contract with executive producer Ted Field of Radar Productions (with whom Bandersnatch Group signed a contract last year) to develop a TV production of the Wheel of Time series.
And a week or so later:
We understand that Rafe and Ted are currently in discussions with a number of content distributors/networks, and that negotiations will be concluded soon. Sorry, we don't know who they are.

Rafe Judkins the Wheel of Time Show Runner posted this to Twitter:

This isn't in the new news section as it's not really news. Back in July, Rafe posted this pic of him actually saying he was reading The Eye of the World:

This new Tweet if anything was just Proof of Life. What is more interesting about this recent picture he posted to Twitter and Instagram, is which replies he chose to "Like". Rafe didn't like every reply, so we can assume he's not a like for the sake of liking kinda guy. That either means he's a random liker or he's a careful measured liker.....

So lets examine what he liked first:

One of his likes was this reply to Narg:

That tweet was in reply to Narg trying to incentivize Rafe back in December, into letting us know if he was still working on the show and if there had been any progress. Liking this means that he's clearly still under contract and working on the show to some degree.

We'll chalk this one up to Rafe liking the spirit of the post :D

That's a promising like and Narg would argue tells us more than Rafe's own tweet, which really only said he'd dug up his old books while at his parents place for the holidays and was taking them back to LA.

This Like shows Rafe has the right mind set!

This one was a like from his Instagram post. Clearly even if they announced a network tomorrow, it would be a bit of stretch to expect a show to appear this year. Mind you, it might have been a good year to premiere given Game of Thrones isn't back until 2019. Liking this reply though, may suggest Rafe is optimistic of the show actually going into production this year or at least getting the ball rolling.

There were a few other likes that Narg couldn't put some fanciful spin on other than a sympathy/pity like for Narg.

So lets look at two posts he didn't like!(there were more)

Thank the light he didn't Like that! Seriously anyone who thinks jamming the first three books into one season is a good idea, is a Darkfriend! Calm down Mat's Medallion, Narg knows you were only asking and not saying you support the idea.

No like for this one either. Which could mean he's writing season one, not just from the first book or that he just doesn't want to tip his hand to what he's doing, which could also apply to the previous no like.

All of the above could and most likely is Narg trying to read something into nothing, but heh a Trolloc's gotta fill out the issue...

In other related News, Narg dug up some more photos and a small video clip from Benita Robledo's WoT short Film.

A beaked Trolloc eating!

Hopefully we don't have to wait much longer to see it.

Apple continue to announce their new show line up. Are You Sleeping a thriller drama being the latest addition. That leaves six more chances for WoT to find a home at Apple who have 1 Billion put aside for ten new shows.

General Wheel of Time News

Narg is sure there was something but he's forgotten...

So you'll have to settle for Narg starting his autobiography. If your eyes bleed it's your own fault!

Some interesting interpretations and thoughts.

That's all Narg's got! Happy New Year!
