New News: Not a peep since JordanCon back in April at which we learnt the following:
Sony Pictures Television has signed a contract with executive producer Ted Field of Radar Productions (with whom Bandersnatch Group signed a contract last year) to develop a TV production of the Wheel of Time series.
And a week or so later:
We understand that Rafe and Ted are currently in discussions with a number of content distributors/networks, and that negotiations will be concluded soon. Sorry, we don't know who they are.

Two other fantasy works were recently optioned and will join WoT and others in competition for TV executives attentions.

The Coldfire trilogy by C.S. Friedman:
Hi, all! This week's project is...helping with the series proposal for Coldfire :-) I am soooo thrilled with the guys at Bohemia group who are working on this, they are really tuned into the work and have some great ideas! Since the series is only three books we are adding more story, which will add more depth and adventure to the original concept...a real feast for Coldfire fans! So cross your fingers that someone in TV land likes the idea enough to make it happen....wouldn't that be awesome?
The Fionavar Tapestry by Guy Gavriel Kay:
All right, this press release went out yesterday, bit of a holiday season present. We have Breaking News, as they say. Short version: I've entered a development agreement with the really impressive production company that did "Orphan Black" - to produce The Fionavar Tapestry as a television series.
Fortier and Schneeberg will executive produce for Temple Street (Orphan Black, Killjoys), along with Kris Holden-Ried (Vikings, Tudors, Lost Girl). “The magic of Fionavar transcends the page. It’s a clarion call to that which is best in all of us, and it’s an honour to be bringing the emotional poetry of Guy’s books to the screen,” says Kris Holden-Ried.
Both series and authors are highly regarded and Narg wouldn't be surprised to see one or both of them make it into production.

Wheel of Time Christmas!

It wouldn't be a Wheel of Time Christmas without the 12 days of Christmas:

General Wheel of Time News

Someone had the cool idea to use Mat's signet ring from Badali Jewelry to seal their wedding invitations:

Tattoo's are a big commitment, so make sure you like the one you are getting, but if you do change your mind, just do this: republished an old but updated article from 2013 entitled "Where Do You Belong if You Don’t Fit Anywhere? Cultural Deterioration and The Wheel of Time". Contains SPOILERS!!
While a lot of the cultural deterioration in the Wheel of Time is a direct result of generational gaps and intermarriage between cultures, much of it is accelerated by the invasion of the Seanchan. I had a vague sense of unease while reading about the Seanchan, who are essentially colonizers in Robert Jordan’s epic. For the Seanchan it is better for other countries to be broken and governed by a superior culture—their own—than it is to allow those cultures to govern themselves. Because, in the Seanchan’s eyes, this group of children just doesn’t know any better. This is who the Aiel are fighting against.
Narg forgot to mention last week that the The Legendarium had finished up their Wheel of Time Podcast series. If you're into podcasts and have plenty of time on your hands, have a listen or don't;)

Humans are stupid...Here's the proof!

2017 Recap and Best Of!

Narg not going to recap what's going on with the show, as everything we know is up top. Everything else is speculation and hot air. There are two fan made projects to look forward to though. Benita Robledo's short film and Matthew Garland's Micro Wheel of Time fanfic film.

Here's a pic of Narg's most popular posts since the start. 2016 beats out 2017. Quality must be going down....;) The Daily Trolloc didn't make the cut:(

That's it for the year from The Daily Trolloc, Have a Merry Christmas or days off if Christmas ain't ya thing. Narg will take a short break and be back sometime in the New Year!
